Like so many others, with an interest in Tropical Cyclones, Icelandic Hurricane is trying to help contribute in making measurements and predictability of Tropical Cyclones. Here is what he has done so far;

OCD

Overall Cyclonic Destruction is a little formula of my own creation to measure the damage of a cyclonic system. If anybody has their opinions on it or think there should be some changes, please write them on my talkpage.

t=miles traveled over land
D=damage (in USD)
C=casualties (direct and indirect)
v=velocity at landfall (in kt.)
w=maximum winds sustained at landfall (in kt.)
b=minimum central preassure at landfall (in bars)

OND

Overall Nor'easter Destruction is another formula of my own creation to measure the damage of a Nor'easter. If anybody has their opinions on it or think there should be some changes, please write them on my talkpage.
