- What's New update
UPDATE:
I woke up early on my born day, I'm 20, it's a blessing
The essence of adolescence leaves my body, now I'm fresh and
My physical frame is celebrated cause I made it
One quarter through life some Godly-like thing created
Got rhymes 365 days annual plus some
Load up the mic and bust one, cuss while I puffs from
My skull cause it's pain in my brain, vein, money maintain
Don't go against the grain, simple and plain
UPDATE: I've actually been inactive, for the most part, for about a week or so now, and there's a reason for that: School has started back up yet again, and that sadly means that, once again, my work on this site will be quite sporadic for the next several months. I'm glad I had some time to help out more, though, this summer, because the edits I've made in just these last fifteen-or-so weeks, however far and apart they were, have had much more substance than anything I did in comparison the year before. Again, I don't pride myself that my colleagues 'round here are suffering disappointment because of my lack of input, but until more time presents itself further along down the line, this apology is all I can do.
UPDATE: God, I've been non-existent for almost a year now. Less than twenty edits in six months basically equals a dead account, and I'm hopelessly embarrassed about my lack of input for late 2008 and early 2009, which was a pretty busy time for Wikipedia, from the looks of it. Which is why I'm sorry to have missed out on it. There are several justified explanations, no good excuses. I've had a lot of personal experiences throw me off, so that I had to devote decidedly less time on the internet and, alas, writing in general, and decidedly more time to the rigors of schoolwork and extracurricular activity. But now that school is finally out, I can safely say that I'll at last be able to focus attention on activity here. Expect much more editing from me for the next three or four months. See, I told you I'd be back! :)
I can only hope I'll be able to pick up the pace.
UPDATE: I'll be extremely busy until further notice; as a result, expect little activity — and, perhaps none — from me for the next few months. I hope to be back and editing again on a more regular basis at some point in December, but no promises.
Recently my time on this site has suffered from a lack of not just activity but also the longer items I most enjoy writing, like mini-essays and entire articles, as well as the discussions I most enjoy engaging in. My attention has been absorbed by various things, all related to my cluttered schedule and busy personal life. I really have no choice but to pursue these new areas before I get much deeper into work 'round here, because otherwise I'll wind up probably regretting wasted opportunities in the future. I don't flatter myself that my colleagues are suffering disappointment because I let days go by without a single edit, but in case you've wondered what's been going on, that's it.
In any case, I'll drop by every now-and-then to check my watchlist, and maybe do some vandal patrol, but that'll very likely be the most you'll see out of me for the upcoming weeks.

Greetings! My name is Cinemaniac! I'm not neccessarily new to Wikipedia; I've been an active, albeit unregistered, contributor since Jan. 2006. During that time, I used various IP addresses during my edits but also used a pseudonym (JS) so that other editors would at least remember me. (As the name may imply, most of my edits pertained to cinema, particularly Comedy and Animation, especially that of Warner Bros..) Not until late October 2007 did I learn that the username JS was already taken. Thus the reason for my creating an account. For now, you can just call Cinemaniac!

I'm a simple man with a simple mind. I hold a simple set of beliefs that I live by. Number one, I believe in America. I believe it exists. My gut tells me that I live there. I feel it extends from the Atlantic to the Pacific, and I strongly believe it has 50 states. ... I believe in democracy. I believe democracy is our greatest export. At least until China figures out a way to stamp it out of plastic for three cents a unit. ... I believe in pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps. I believe it is possible -- I saw this guy do it once in Cirque du Soleil. It was magical. And though I am a committed Christian, I believe that everyone has the right to their own religion, be you Hindu, Jewish, or Muslim. I believe there are infinite paths to accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.
I have complete faith in the continued absurdity of whatever’s going on.
Centuries from now our great-great-great-grandchildren will look back at us with amazement at how we could allow such a precious achievement as the telling of a story to be shattered into smithereens by commercials -- the same amazement we feel today when we look at our ancestors for whom slavery, capital punishment, burning of witches, and the Inquisition were acceptable everyday events.
In reality, there is no way to be funny without risking insult.
The world would not be in such a snarl, had Marx been Groucho instead of Karl.
Yes, reason has been a part of organized religion — ever since two nudists took dietary advice from a talking snake.
Reality has a well-known liberal bias.
Progress might have been all right once, but it has gone on too long.
The meaning of life? It's nothing very special, really — Try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations.
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them — well, I have others.
