I contribute to Wikipedia in a marketing and public relations role. My aim is to use this account to assist the Wikipedia community by suggesting improvements to the articles about the organisations that I represent. Where necessary, I also highlight and report inaccuracies and erroneous information concerning the organisations that I represent.
I currently work for an organisation called Global University Systems, which is a group that encompasses a growing network of private higher education institutions in the UK and internationally.
As part of my job, I am currently representing the University Canada West on Talk:University Canada West. In May 2016, I started making contributions to Talk:London College of Contemporary Arts on behalf of the London College of Contemporary Arts. In January 2017, I started making contributions to Talk:GISMA Business School in order to help improve the quality of the GISMA Business School article.
In May 2017, I made an edit request on the Talk:London School of Business and Finance to correct a couple of points on the London School of Business and Finance article. Here is the declaration of my conflict of interest on the WP:COIN
I will always openly declare my conflict of interest should I need to do any work on behalf of any of the other institutions within the group.
Following a conversation with experienced volunteer editors and in light of the guidelines described on WP:PAYTALK, I realised that it would be useful to make it clear that I currently do not get paid based on the number of hours that I spend on Wikipedia. I am a full time employee and, unlike some COI contributors, I don’t bill by the hour. Contributing to Wikipedia is one element of my day job, but not the only one - and therefore my salary is not affected by the amount of time I spend working with the Wikipedia community. I will update this information should the situation change in the future.
Please feel free to contact me via my talk page if you have any questions or suggestions about my contributions. I'm not always online here, but I am usually available to answer questions on Wikipedia from Monday to Friday, during office hours (9am to 6pm GMT). I will try and get back to you as soon as I can.
Yay!
