Lesotho generates electricity from several hydroelectric power stations. In the past Lesotho was entirely dependent on South Africa but it is now an electricity importer and exporter connected to the South African power grid. Electricity is traded with South Africa and other Southern African Development Community countries participating in the Southern African Power Pool.
The following is a list of electricity generating facilities within Lesotho that are larger than 1 MW capacity. It contains currently operational facilities as well as notable facilities that are under construction or planned.
