... that Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai's (pictured) 2019 book We Are Displaced tells the stories of ten displaced people, including herself? Source: the book itself
First, it looks like some relatively minor, but nonetheless easy to fix overlap here, with e.g. a full sentence appearing in both.
The source is actually copying from Wikipedia, from an earlier version of Malala Yousafzai. I copied a paragraph from Malala Yousafzai to We Are Displaced during creation (without attribution as I wrote it myself as part of this edit). — Bilorv (he/him) (talk) 01:10, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
Second, would you want to include a picture of the author? We have several, of course.
There is, under Background. — Bilorv (he/him) (talk) 01:10, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
I mean for the DYK. :) — Rhododendritestalk \\ 03:56, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
Finally, while the hook isn't problematic, it seems like there's a lot of potential for one that's a lot hookier. E.g. focusing on one of the stories in the book (ideally one that's also mentioned in one of the secondary sources). Something from the reception may also be strong. I may have a go at an ALT1 if something doesn't immediately come to mind for you, though.
It looks good, generally, though. Thanks for writing the article! — Rhododendritestalk \\ 00:46, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
If you've got any suggestions, they're welcome as well. — Bilorv (he/him) (talk) 01:10, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
ALT3: ... that Malala Yousafzai(pictured) began work on her 2019 book We Are Displaced in 2013, while visiting Syrian refugee camps in Jordan? source is the Guardian ref
The more I think about it, the more the original hook might be the best one. ALT3 could work, too, but I was perhaps overoptimistic that the compelling stories could be reduced sufficiently to fit in a hook. I also think ALT1 and ALT2 having the potential to sound a little self-serving. I'm happy to leave it up to you, Bilorv, and if no strong opinion I'll defer to the promoting admin. Ping me with your thoughts about the hook and picture, and I'll go ahead and pass it. — Rhododendritestalk \\ 03:56, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
I've added "in 2013" to ALT3, which is surely the most hooky bit. Yeah, I'm also happy with any of these four hooks. I think a picture would be good; we can use (valued image) File:Malala_Yousafzai_2015.jpg for any of them, or File:Muzoon_Almellehan_-_Global_Citizen_Festival_Hamburg_01.jpg for ALT2. I'm happy to leave the choice of hook (and image) to the promoting admin. — Bilorv (he/him) (talk) 12:00, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
- Note to promoting admin: hooks are all ok. I have a weak preference for ALT3, followed by the original hook, both displayed with the first picture above, but I don't feel strongly enough to strike the others -- up to you. — Rhododendritestalk \\ 15:01, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
