Emil Tamsen
[edit]... that Emil Tamsen (pictured) was born in Schleswig-Holstein, emigrated to the Transvaal as a teenager, fought for the British in the First Boer War, but became a friend of Paul Kruger and other Boer leaders?- Changed it to teenager as this source indicates he might have arrived in South Africa in 1876. - New enough, long enough, well-sourced, and neutral. QPQ complete. Image free and displays well. Although the hook is technically in policy, it is too long and disjointed (covers too many subjects) in my opinion. Can it be shortened/tightened? I have a couple of suggestions, all of which directly tie to source 5:
- ALT1: ... that although Emil Tamsen (pictured) fought for the British in the First Boer War, he became a friend of the Boer leader Paul Kruger?
ALT2: ... that philatelist Emil Tamsen (pictured) acquired treasure after treasure?

- I tidied the article a bit. Alt 1 looks good to me. Philafrenzy (talk) 15:53, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
- All good as nominator agrees to Alt1. 78.26 (I'm no IP, talk to me!) 16:22, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
