Edgar Williams
- ... that Edgar Williams, Bernard Montgomery's intelligence officer, was an Oxford don who hated soldiering as a profession? Source: De Guingand (1947). Offine I'm afraid.

- Hi Hawkeye7, review follows: article promoted to GA on 15 September; article is well written and cited inline throughout; sources used look reliable, though perhaps de Guignand's 1947 work might be a little close to the subject in personal terms and time it is used sparingly and the quote, which is the source for the hook, is attributed; I didn't pick up any overly close paraphrasing form the sources I accessed; hook is interesting, mentioned in the article and cited, AGF on offline source; I added a link to Don_(honorific)#Academia as I am not sure how well known the term is outside the Commonwealth (except perhaps from the Godfather!); a QPQ has been carried out; looks fine to me - Dumelow (talk) 08:06, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
