Chlorobalius leucoviridis
[edit]- ... that the male spotted predatory katydid (pictured) uses acoustic mimicry to attract male cicadas on which to feed? Source: "We have found that predatory Chlorobalius leucoviridis katydids (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae) can attract male cicadas (Hemiptera: Cicadidae) by imitating the species-specific wing-flick replies of sexually receptive female cicadas.")

- Hi Cwmhiraeth, review follows: Article created 8 November; article exceeds minimum length and is well written (I am not sure what cryptically-coloured means, any chance of a explanation/link in the article?); article is cited inline to reliable sources, however I note that the sentence "The male sings to lead females of its own species towards its location" is missing a citation? Hook is interesting and cited to a reliable source that backs it up; image is freely licensed and works well at small scale (the commons description doesn't mention it is this specific Katydid but I am happy to AGF that it has been identified as such by a competent individual; QPQ has been done. Once the missing cite is sorted this one should be OK to run - Dumelow (talk) 18:22, 14 November 2018 (UTC)

- @Cwmhiraeth and Dumelow: hi, I came to promote this, but it is unclear to me what "mimicry" is. Would it possible to replace it with some synonym? L293D (☎ • ✎) 14:36, 21 December 2018 (UTC)
