Chaos

[edit]

Given the tournament is currently in progress in South Africa it seems there are a load of rogue edits on this page. Stuff like '44 Wickets' wins. I haven't got time to fix it right now, but this page needs watching. Stevebritgimp (talk) 22:27, 18 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress

[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:ICC Men's T20 World Cup which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 09:33, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 5 October 2024

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: moved. There's broad consensus here to remove ICC for the women's competitions. I will move the pages listed in this RM but not other related pages like suggested; the categories especially will require CFD to move. – Removal of ICC as per WP:COMMONNAME and this RM discussion as well. Vestrian24Bio (TALK) 16:30, 5 October 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 11:42, 15 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Relisting comment: Relisting to get more inputs as this RM would impact a large number of pages. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 11:42, 15 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support: The renaming would make the page names clear and easier to read. There’s no need for ICC to be in the name of the tournament page names. Same goes for the men’s cricket world cups and tournaments. OCDD (talk) 17:12, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support we should be consistent with all ICC tournaments. We don't need ICC to be in the name, as the name is unambiguous without it, as no other sport has a T20 World Cup. And support doing for the men’s equivalent articles too, though that may need a separate RM after this one is closed. Joseph2302 (talk) 11:54, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
