Psychological Help
[edit]My understanding is he had tried to get help for his condition before he was caught and convicted. Does anyone have more information on that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.227.198.167 (talk) 21:49, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

"Most Evil"-Edit explanation
[edit]Though I strongly disapprove of his actions (as I assume most people do), I have removed the "most evil" designation. The source was not particularly prominent, in any case.
One could argue that he was not particularly evil overall. He at least accepted his death sentence like a man, unlike most intentional murderers and others worthy of death.
Of course, the ironic thing was that this was not because he was repentant, but because he was not, and would kill again in his own opinion. Apparently he was too remorseful to be remorseful, and that was his way of spitting at society-if you can't beat them, join them!-Fountainoffacts (talk) 23:56, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
Execution
[edit]I watched this execution on television in Spokane, WA as a child (although you couldn't see anything much). It was a big deal - hyped-up everywhere locally - and aired well after the nightly news. I imagine you could find previews from the archives of local news stations promoting the execution. Interesting that this section doesn't mention this fact! In hindsight, it was pretty macabre, although it pales it comparison to what kids with the internet can witness. 68.194.83.121 (talk) 02:27, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- I too remember the "hype" around this in Seattle as a child. Footage had been uploaded to YouTube; however, the local news version that lasts a few hours appears to have been removed within the last two years. Geeky Randy (talk) 22:04, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- Interesting! I mean sure, who *needs* to see that, but as a part of history, I find it disturbing that this record of public execution isn't available. 68.194.83.121 (talk) 00:18, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
