Revert
[edit]I have made a revert to this version, before edits by Per Honor et Gloria : its chronology was dubious and clashed with almost every other articles. (sorry for my poor english) Chaoborus (talk) 16:54, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
- I have reverted my own revert. Nothing is clear in these matters. --Chaoborus (talk) 16:10, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

Helpful sources
[edit]@पाटलिपुत्र:. Hello, Pataliputra. Thank you for your recent expansion of article. I have some interest in the history of Gujarat so looking forward to your interesting work. I am pointing to some references. Please assess its quality and age and use as deem fit. Please look at two thesis: The Saka Kshatrapas of Western India (1966) Here and The Archeology of the settlements of Kshatrapa period (1997) [ http://hdl.handle.net/10603/168660 Here]. Thank you again. Happy editing.--Nizil (talk) 21:12, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you for the links Nizil. I am not sure that these can be used as reputable sources, as they seem to be University research work. As far as I know, they would need to be published by reputable publishers in order to become acceptable as reference for Wikipedia. Cheers पाटलिपुत्र (talk) 04:19, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
- @पाटलिपुत्र:. I think research thesis are useful in many ways. Most of them are well referenced with older sources (which can be used here) for general review of topic with addition of some new research. We can ignore new research but add info from older sources with their direct citations. Do as you feel OK. Have a look at JSTOR paper for interesting discussion on Damajadasri/Damazada and some other new vital info. If you have access issues, I can email you PDF. Note
[edit]Someone posted it in the article which I am moving here:In foot note number 13 on Rupiamma, I would like to point out that he wasn't from the Kshahartha family or the Kardamaka family of Chashtana. Some rulers used the title Mahakshtrapa without belonging to these dynasties. There is an article in Journal of Epigraphic Society of India Vol 18 by H.S. Thosar that will tell us the history of this Rupiamma. The pillar inscriptions merely mentions his name Mahakshtrapa Rupiamma with a low relief sculpture. There is no date or any other record. Rupiamma should not be included in the Western Satrap history.
- Have a look.-Nizil (talk) 13:37, 22 February 2019 (UTC)
- @पाटलिपुत्र:, I don't know about it but someone had posted it. Nizil (talk) 13:41, 22 February 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks. I don't know what this is either.... पाटलिपुत्र (talk) 16:12, 22 February 2019 (UTC)
Box titled: Gupta Empire coins on the model of the Western Satraps
[edit]The box contains a significant error: the fourth coin, purportedly of Budhagupta, is in fact of Skandagupta. The legend is actually the same as that on the third coin: vijitavaniravanipati jayati divam skandaguptoyam. The image should be replaced or removed. Rani nurmai (talk) 20:14, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Rani nurmai: Seems to be the case indeed... Correcting. Thank you! पाटलिपुत्र (Pataliputra) (talk) 07:37, 18 May 2023 (UTC)
