Working on Citations
[edit]This has been a project I have been researching for 20 years now. I have all of the digital copies of all the newspaper articles but am working on citing the research in this document. Thank you for your patience as I work to attach the citations with my research. Kwvath27 (talk) 13:34, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hello. I've been going through and linking what I can via Newspapers.com. I don't have access to all of the articles, even through WikiLibrary - specifically The Western Hills Press is inaccessible to me.
- But, I was hoping you'd be able to upload the other bits and bobs to Internet Archive if there's no copyright issue - like the program for the naming ceremony from 2012-11-03, a photo of the hangar plaque, the minutes from the 1942-11-07 meeting. Then we could link it and it doesn't run afoul of the Wikipedia:No original research rules.
- I'm not sure about the interviews - those you could upload audio files and transcripts for (again, assuming no copyright issues), but I think you'd have to put a Wikipedia:Conflict of interest statement on your page here? I'm not sure about that one, whether/how it applies if you're acting as an investigative reporter.
- Also, it took me a while to figure out how to do it, but I moved the Google Maps link to a note at the end of that last footnote in that paragraph and created a /* Note */ section for it in the article, since we're not supposed to have external links in the article proper. Irrelevant content
[edit]Although I'm ready to accept it to mainspace, when it's there it ideally needs editing to remove excessive detail which is not relevant to the subject of the article. Who people were married to and so on (I'm fairly certain I saw that somewhere!) does not need to be in the article. If it's not about the airport, it shouldn't be there. Issues
[edit]There's at least one external link used in the body of the article. I stopped looking for them after that. There are numerous cases of incorrect punctuation/citations interactions. References should come after punctuation and there shouldn't be punctuation between citations. - UtherSRG (talk) 13:14, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
