correction
[edit]The image charge interaction energy is a factor of two wrong in the article, both in the text and in the formula of M(x). It should be e^2/8*pi*eps*x —Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.227.189.8 (talk) 10:59, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
Invention of the Pentode
[edit]As far as I know, the pentode was invented by Tellegen in 1926 at Phillips, not Schottky. Here's a source for Tellegen: http://www.dos4ever.com/E1T/E1T.html#tube — Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.19.223.10 (talk) 19:58, 17 May 2012 (UTC)
Correct name
[edit]Hermann or Hans??? --91.66.8.188 (talk) 21:26, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
- Hans, according to all German documents, like https://www.deutsche-biographie.de/sfz115989.html (and references cited there). Changed it. --Dl8dtl (talk) 07:59, 7 July 2017 (UTC)
Stray bullet in Controversy
[edit]What is this bullet item doing in the Controversy section?
- 1939: first p–n junction
BMJ-pdx (talk) 08:16, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- That was added here. And it appears to be confusing Schottky with Shockley. Suggest removing. -- 50.47.146.39 (talk) 00:57, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
