witness trees

[edit]

Loved stumbling across this. Gettysburg has several "witness trees" that were standing during the battle (July 1863) or that stood along President Lincoln's route to deliver the Address several months later. PurpleChez (talk) 12:14, 3 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ancient trees as opposed to Veteran Trees

[edit]

This subject matter needs to be corrected as it is causing ambiguity as to just what a truly ancient tree is compared to the less-aged classification of a Veteran tree Reading world experts definitions at the Ancient Tree Forum and producing it on Wikipedia would clarify this for all concerned.
