Koželj Mass Grave
[edit]Regarding this change, the Koželj Mass Grave is located in the settlement of Velenje itself; compare the territory of the settlement here and the grave location here. This article is the most precise location for the information. Please discuss the topic here and allow other editors the opportunity to express their opinions rather than simply deleting it. Doremo (talk) 16:37, 2 May 2014 (UTC)
- There is an entire Mass graves in Slovenia Wikipedia article, listing ALL 'mass grave' sites in Slovenia. Why do you feel that this Mass Grave section needs to be included in this article about Velenje city? 198.143.0.153 (talk) 10:50, 3 May 2014 (UTC)
Social Democrats (Slovenia)
[edit]There is a table in this article that refers to the Social Democrats. An anonymous user has repeatedly piped the party name to "Socialists" (which should refer to the Socialist Party of Slovenia and is thus counter to WP:DAB). If there is a good rationale for piping "Social Democrats" to "Socialists" please explain it here. Doremo (talk) 18:06, 2 May 2014 (UTC)
- "Socialist", in this case, is used more as a short-term adjective, because we don't want the table to be large when it can be relatively thin. More importantly, Social Democrats (Slovenia) are a part of or affiliated with Socialist International, thus my edits are justified. As a personal note, please stop being a grammar nazi, especially when you are wrong. 117.165.41.99 (talk) 19:29, 2 May 2014 (UTC)
- Please review WP:PERSONAL. I have changed the label to "SD" (although "Social Democrats" also fits in the table). "SD" / "Social Democrats" is also consistent with the rest of the article and is unambiguous. Doremo (talk) 04:19, 3 May 2014 (UTC)
I have reverted your reference removal. Stop vandalising the article. 58.8.145.93 (talk) 04:30, 3 May 2014 (UTC)
- Please review WP:VAN to better understand what vandalism is. The reference to the Socialist International does not justify referring to the Social Democrats as "the Socialists." (Analogously, the SDS is a member of the European People's Party, but that does not make "People's Party" a valid synonym for the SDS.) Please obtain support from other editors before making this change again. Doremo (talk) 04:56, 3 May 2014 (UTC)
- You are trolling. SDS is a Democratic party, SD is a Socialist party. Case closed. 198.143.0.153 (talk) 05:26, 3 May 2014 (UTC)
I have removed the election table because no other European city has one. I hope this resolves the dispute raised on this talk page. 202.63.197.67 (talk) 07:53, 3 May 2014 (UTC)
Tourism: possible copyright violation
[edit]The Tourism section of this article contains promotional material (unencyclopedic style) that may be a copyright violation from www.velenje-tourism.si/en/1034. It was tagged as such, but an anonymous user deleted the section and then restored it without the tag. Doremo (talk) 14:31, 3 May 2014 (UTC)
- You mean "copyright violation," like in the case below where you admitted to have copied/pasted/directly-translated the Name section, and the Koželj Mass Grave section mentioned above? If so, then feel free to remove all three sections, or none. 198.143.0.153 (talk) 15:25, 3 May 2014 (UTC)
Etymology section
[edit]Regarding this change, the cited source states "Druga, manj verjetna možnost je domneva, da ime vsebuje občn. im. *velen(je) ..." and so the etymology section should read "A less likely hypothesis derives the name from the Slovene common noun velen(je) ..." to accurately represent the cited source. An anonymous user has repeatedly altered the text. Doremo (talk) 14:35, 3 May 2014 (UTC)
- Like I said on the other talk page - the shortened (current) version states the same thing. You should really learn English, instead of just using Google Translate and messing with editors who want to improve the article. Also, you appear to be reverting any edit made to the Name section, which as I understand it, is not what Wikipedia is about - your personal notebook. Though as a compromise to end this stupid edit-war, your version was restored. You are welcome. 198.143.0.153 (talk) 19:25, 3 May 2014 (UTC)
