Balasaheb instead of bal
[edit]Why use bal only twice where there is balasaheb throughout the page and it's also convenient for people as they popularly know him over here as balasaheb and not bal i mean look at some official names given to gardens etc it's balasaheb Scainder (talk) 21:25, 8 June 2020 (UTC)
- His official name is Bal, not balasaheb. Also, the issue at hand is whether this change is necessary, which it is not per WP:NOTBROKEN. GreaterPonce665 (TALK) 21:43, 8 June 2020 (UTC)
- his official name is balasaheb. bal is his popular nickname used by his close associates. 117.233.73.20 (talk) 17:18, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
Controversies
[edit]I Propose to add this -
His son, Aditya Thackrey, has been accused by members of opposition party BJP, of being involved in Bollywood actor, Sushant Singh Rajput murder. A charge he and his son had denied.[1][2][3][4]
He has been accused by many of playing being vindictive and misusing his position to harass Bollywood Actress Kangana Ranaut and Republic TV news channel. Some felt that he lowered the dignity of his office by by publicly abusing Kangana Ranaut, a female artist[5][6][7]. It was seen that sudden arrest of owner and editor-in-chief of Republic TV, Arnab Goswami, in Nov,2020 was done at the behest of Uddhav Thackrey for the critical news coverage of maharatra government.[8].[9][10] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Raghuveer07 (talk • contribs) 09:09, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
- it's just accusation. never proven. should not be added. 117.233.73.20 (talk) 17:19, 11 November 2024 (UTC)

Proposed merge of Resignation of Uddhav Thackeray into Uddhav Thackeray
[edit]Does not seem worthy of a separate article in the encyclopedia PamD 18:30, 29 June 2022 (UTC)
This is huge incident which is currently going on as he is the former CM of Maharastra. There are many pages on wikipedia about such incident. DIVINE 18:32, 29 June 2022 (UTC)
- Merge per nomination. Clearly not enough content to create another page. Cant see why this information cannot be added in the career section here. Already a page called 2022 Maharashtra political crisis exists for this. Venkat TL (talk) 18:33, 29 June 2022 (UTC)
- 2022 Maharashtra political crisis is kinda different than the resignation. DIVINE 18:34, 29 June 2022 (UTC)
- @DIVINE: it is, but since it exists, the need for this resignation article is greatly reduced. You are only going to duplicate the content that already exists in the 2 articles. I suggest you add all the resignation related content in a section on UT bio and then follow WP:SPLITSIZE. --Venkat TL (talk) 18:53, 29 June 2022 (UTC)
- I believe the contents of Resignation of Uddhav Thackeray can very much be merged 2022 Maharashtra political crisis. All in all it is part of the Crisis and would be chronologically correct also. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 19:18, 29 June 2022 (UTC)

- Redirect to 2022 Maharashtra political crisis. The information has already been added to the destination article. A redirect is all that is needed. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 03:35, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
