Information icon Hello, I'm GreaterPonce665. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Uddhav Thackeray have been undone because they did not appear constructive. No need to make Bal into Balasaheb (it's Bal on his wikipage; see WP:NOTBROKEN) and similarly Minatai is not needed. Do not add name of other kid (who does not a wikipage) in the infobox. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks. GreaterPonce665 (TALK) 17:42, 7 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Uddhav Thackeray. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. GreaterPonce665 (TALK) 21:11, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Faisal Shaikh, you may be blocked from editing. Naypta ☺ | ✉ talk page | 20:25, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Hasnain Khan. Nyook 20:25, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can u please change the photos which appear in overview Scainder (talk) 20:27, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As these pages are fraudently set up there are no actual cricketers Scainder (talk) 20:27, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It's just created by some tiktokers to promote themselves can please change their photos to avoid the actual VANDALISM Scainder (talk) 20:29, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Scainder: This has already been discussed, at length, on the pages of those articles. There may be TikTok users with those names, but that doesn't prevent there also being cricketers of the same names. The articles are well-referenced. Naypta ☺ | ✉ talk page | 20:37, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed but can you change the overview of it Scainder (talk) 20:50, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Specifically what are you trying to change - what "overview" - and what do you want to change it to? Naypta ☺ | ✉ talk page | 20:56, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

When we search their name with wiki on google search engine at that time we can see the images as a part of the wiki which are not at all related Scainder (talk) 21:11, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

We can't control what Google shows on their search results, I'm afraid. You'd need to contact them to enquire about that. Naypta ☺ | ✉ talk page | 21:13, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Anyways thank you Scainder (talk) 21:31, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Important Notice

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Doug Weller talk 13:45, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What is it about can you explain in deep Scainder (talk) 01:32, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I can explain it a bit: People who edit articles related to India, Pakistan and Afghanistan often have very strong emotions tied to aspects of these nations' history, culture, ethnicity, conflict, religion, persecution, social mores, laws, etc. Since Wikipedia is a community editing project, and we do our best to provide a neutral point of view on subjects, that means we simply can't have people making hasty, poorly-sourced changes, especially ones that could suggest one group is superior to another, or that tries to assert "fact" in matters that have been disputed, or edits that forward a political agenda, etc. And anyone who seems to be pushing some kind of agenda could very quickly wind up blocked to protect the integrity of the encyclopedia. Hope that helps you understand. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:56, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Manohar Joshi, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Indian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:38, 7 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Religion parameter

[edit]

Hi there, re: this and this, there is no |religion= parameter in Template:Infobox person. There used to be, but it was removed a long time ago. So adding this parameter does not result in any information being displayed. Also, any piece of information like this must be properly attributed to a reliable source, and preferably one where the subjects, Alia and Mahesh Bhatt would identify themselves as Muslim. Self-identification is important for things of this nature, including caste and ethnic identity. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:39, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Aaditya Thackeray; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. NedFausa (talk) 21:47, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon Your recent edits to Aaditya Thackeray could give Wikipedia contributors the impression that you may consider legal or other "off-wiki" action against them, or against Wikipedia itself. Please note that making such threats on Wikipedia is strictly prohibited under Wikipedia's policies on legal threats and civility. Users who make such threats may be blocked. If you have a dispute with the content of any page on Wikipedia, please follow the proper channels for dispute resolution. Please be sure to comment on content, not contributors, and where possible make specific suggestions for changes supported by reliable independent sources and focusing especially on verifiable errors of fact. Threatening to have an editor arrested for an edit is as chilling of an effect as there can be. There is no place for this on Wikipedia at all. RickinBaltimore (talk) 16:08, 27 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
