Rename: Al-Bass (archaeological site)

[edit]
  1. The site contains a triumphal arch, which can't possibly be connected to the necropolis, and an aqueduct - corpses don't drink. I suggest Al-Bass (archaeological site) or Al-Bass (ancient site), possibly adding Tyre, so Al-Bass, Tyre (archaeological site).
  2. I don't know, but it's unlikely that the al-Bass site was the only necropolis of ancient Tyre. Even if it was: the site is known as al-Bass necropolis, which is more precise. One can at most argue for "Al-Bass necropolis, Tyre".
  3. We must decide about the spelling. The hyphen is now almost universally used in English transliteration; the article can be spelled al or el, and if not at the beginning of a sentence with lower-case a or e.
  4. As a first step: remove capital N from "Tyre Necropolis". It's probably a copy-and-paste matter from the Unesco paperwork, possibly from the headings. Don't see the justification.
