Hello User:Yellow Evan, I will be reviewing this article tonight for you. After a quick skim through, I must say that this is probably one of your best candidates for GA. Still, I did find some errors/things that need to be addressed:
- "Originating from a monsoon trough towards the end of August" - Wikilink monsoon trough
- "Pat first formed on August 24 several hundred kilometers east of the Philippines." - I think it's kind of odd how you say "several hundred kilometers" here, but throughout the article, the American system for units of measure is used first. It would be like if I had said on the 2002–03 Australian region cyclone season that Cyclone Graham formed several hundred miles of Port Hedland.
- I think you use "Pat" too many times in the lede. The first 7 sentences use the word "Pat". Alternate that words with things like "the storm", "the cyclone", "the typhoon", etc.
- Changed a few. YE Pacific Hurricane 01:55, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
- "Later on August 26, a Hurricane Hunter aircraft reported winds of 45 mph (70 km/h) and " - Switch the order of units (i.e. km/h first, mph in parenthesis)
- "Shortly after its peak, Pat moved ashore along the southern tip Kyushu" - You should probably include the date in here somewhere, because not only has the date not be mentioned since two sentences ago, but this is a new paragraph.
- "While crossing the peninsula,[1] a peak rainfall total of 374 mm (14.7 in) was recorded in Ebino," - Which peninsula? Even the state of Florida is described as a peninsula :P
- "A peak hourly storm total of 107 mm (4.2 in) was measured at Gokaharadake on Nagasaki" - I'm a bit confused. Does this mean the highest 1-hour total?
- That should be it. After these issues are fixed/addressed, I will have no problem with passing thsi articles and listing it as a Good Article. Regards, --12george1 (talk) 01:47, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
- Whoa, that was quick! As I said earlier, I would have no problem with passing this article. Therefore, I am going to do that now. Congratulations, --12george1 (talk) 02:07, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
