At present this is little more than a stub. It needs lots more info. Jdorje 21:53, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

http://www.reliefweb.int/rw/RWB.NSF/db900SID/OCHA-64BMV8?OpenDocument I found some impact info the question is how to add more info without messing up the structure of the article? Storm05 16:50, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Simply add the info in the subsections (Philippine info in the Philippine section, etc.) Hurricanehink 17:18, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Better or needs more Storm05 17:36, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
For B-class I'd say it should have a little more. — jdorje (talk) 17:57, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I added more info and picture. Storm05 14:01, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You need to fix wording all around. The intro is very bland and should be expanded. The storm history should be 2 paragraphs. Words like giant and extremely should be replaced with more dynamic and correct words. Remove abouts in storm history (in Philippines section) and replace with exact amounts. Hurricanehink 16:11, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's not only the wording. This article has a grand total of one source, and must be verified properly, preferably using inline {{cite web}} citations. Furthermore, there is no information on Preparation and Aftermath, and expansion is essential. Major improvements definitely required! - SpLoT (*T* C+u+g+v) 16:17, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • " was the most intense typhoon to strike the Philippines since Typhoon Irma in 1984." - that's only three years. Is there nothing more fancy? Like Xth deadliest Philippine storm?
    • I think the Xth deadliest Philippine storm is too trivial. But Irma was six years, not three, so I fixed that. ~~ 04:58, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
  • "and on November 19, was first classified as a tropical cyclone" - why does infobox say the 16th?
  • Why did you wait so long to link typhoon?
  • "before attaining its peak intensity of 170 km/h (105 mph)" - I was gonna ask if this was in 1-min or 10-min, but I noticed, this doesn't match either value in the infobox. So.......
    • Fixed, and sticking to JMA since it's official. 04:58, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
  • Now it says "before attaining its peak 10 minuet intensity of 175 km/h (110 mph)*", which is still inconsistent with the infobox. And JMA wasn't official then, it didn't become an RSMC until 1989. So if you want to say 10-minute winds there, you should say who said that? ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:37, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • "After passing near Truk, which has a population of 42,000, Typhoon Nina brought heavy damage to the area." - after or while?
  • "Hundreds of people were evacuated while the typhoon also inflicted severe crop damage" - neither relate to each other, so why are they mentioned in the same sentence? The whole section just seems like a jumble of text without much flow.

Overall the article is in decent shape, but it needs some more loving before I pass the nomination. On hold for now. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 03:59, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Still needs a bit more loving. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:37, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
