Name

[edit]

Is Trypticon’s Japanese name Dinozaurer (first paragraph) or Dinosaurer (under “Japan”)? (Sometimes in Japanese there’s only one sound for two English sounds, like la and ra, or sa and tha—but there should be two separate Japanese spellings for sa and za, with za being sa with a diacritical mark added.) The Matrix Prime revisions

[edit]

As for your recent revisions, Trypticon was released as a Micro Beast for the Classic Voyagers line recently, it's the "The Original Series", that's Star Trek. The toy line is called "Generation 1". Transmetal is a generic term for any robotic animal, as opposed to an organic looking animal. the title "Animated series" is not to be capitolized in series, as it's not a proper noun. The Japanese series name was Transformers: Headmasters. user:mathewignash

  • The Japanese Headmaster series was a sequel, not an alternate name for the Original Animated Series. The title "Original Series" applies to lots of shows, such as Star Trek or Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who etc etc. As the animated series was the first TV show that makes it the original series. Generation One is a rather meaningless term because there are the same characters in both lines (Beast Wars is more of a true second Generation then G2) plus the term is confusing for non-Transformer fans and we don't wish to alienate them. I'm not saying its not okay to use it, just not as a title. Plus the orginal series never refered to its as Generation One. We could call it the Animated Series but that could confuse it with following series also done in animation. --The Matrix Prime 18:26, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
