Hello, YE. I will be reviewing this article today.--12george1 (talk) 15:59, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
- "was the only storm in 1983 to move from" - Wikilink to the 1983 Pacific typhoon season?
- Not sure if applicable, given that this is part of the NIO season as well. YE Pacific Hurricane 05:23, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
- "after making landfall in [Vietnam]] early on October 17." - Missing a bracket
- In the infobox, the death toll says "300 reported". It would probably be better to say "Over 300" or "More than 300" because obviously the death toll exceeded 300 based on reading the article
- Done
- There's something wrong with that link to Herbert in the infobox. I think it's an issue with the capital letters
- "In the capital of Bankgkok, almost every street" ---> "In the capital of Bangkok, almost every street"
- "widespread flooding in Bangladesh." - Add a link to Bangladesh
- "the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) started monitoring the system.[2][nb 1][2][nb 2] - Double reference and odd placement. Just remove the reference between the notes
- Removed. YE Pacific Hurricane 05:23, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
- "Kim made landfall on the coast of Vietnam while at peak intensity also 75 km/h (45 mph), according to the JTWC." - That wording on the end is strange. I'd ditch the "peak intensity" and the wind speed and just say "Kim made landfall on the coast of Vietnam while at the same intensity," or something like that
- Reworte. YE Pacific Hurricane 05:23, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
- "Under than anticipation of regeneration in the Andaman Sea, according to the JTWC." - Either remove "than" or change it to "the"
- "The capital city of Bankgkok, which at that" ---> "The capital city of Bangkok, which at that"
I'm out of time. I have to get ready for my AA degree graduation. I'll see if there's more issues when I get back--12george1 (talk) 15:59, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
- Congrats. YE Pacific Hurricane 05:23, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
More:
- The infobox says that both the 1-minute and 10-minute sustained winds were 75 km/h (45 mph). Is that correct?
- Technically Yes but this may need to be changed. This came up in a Hink FAC at some point where a similar problem occured, but don't have time to find it. YE Pacific Hurricane 05:23, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
- "it never moved into the Bay of Bengal." - But it looks like Kim did, albeit briefly. The storm crossed the Ayeyarwady Region and was thus in the Bay of Bengal
- JTWC begs to differ, and it's not obvious enough for me to override their verdict. YE Pacific Hurricane 05:23, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
- No impact in Burma, Cambodia, or Vietnam?
- Not that I can find, granted SE Asia is the graveyard of WPAC impact. YE Pacific Hurricane 05:23, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
- "The road that connected the city's airport was flooded" - Wikilink to Suvarnabhumi Airport?
- Linked. YE Pacific Hurricane 05:23, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
- "400 mm (15.7 in) of rain fell in Bangkok, the most rainfall recorded in that time frame in thirty years; most of the rain accumulated during the two weeks was due to Kim." - I think you should change it to something like this: "During the first two weeks of October, 400 mm (15.7 in) of rain fell in Bangkok – the most rainfall recorded in that time frame in 30 years – much of it accumulating during the passage of Kim."
- Done I think. YE Pacific Hurricane 05:23, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
- "and 76,533 fishing ponds were damaged[10] while the" - Comma after "damaged"
- "destroyed or severely damaged 1,344 roads, 242 bridges and 240 irrigation ditches." - Comma after "bridges"
- For reference 10, the title is "prolonged floods hit thailand". I don't know what the original title looked like, but you should at least put a capital letter for "Prolonged" and "Thailand"
- Oh, XGNOS likes to lowercase titles. Fixed. YE Pacific Hurricane 05:23, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
That should be it.--12george1 (talk) 01:50, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review as always :P YE Pacific Hurricane 05:23, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
- Alright. I will now pass this article.--12george1 (talk) 05:53, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
