Bias
[edit]Large swathes of this article (well, list really) appear to be in support of some kind of political campaign. Statements such as the following are obviously POV:
Kathryn Mann and Debra Ballou were arrested in Orono, Maine, USA on November 2, 2001 for merely going jogging. They were arrested and they went to the police station for the usual humiliating routine.
(emphasis added) Is there any chance that they weren't "merely" jogging, but were arrested for jogging without any clothes on (jiggling while jogging)? MarkBrooks 01:21, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
- Good job, feel free to rewrite it properly. Cheers. User:Dandelion (talk|contribs) 03:59, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Couple of fixes: Bay to Breakers dates, and Rainbow Family link
[edit]Under the section on repeating events, I created a link for Rainbow Family. I also fixed the info on the date of Bay to Breakers. The entry had said that it's May 14-16; actually, it's always on the third Sunday in May. 72.66.108.162 22:42, 1 July 2007 (UTC)Stephen Kosciesza
Terri Sue Webb . . .
[edit]I've removed all refs to Terri Sue Webb because just about all of them are sourced to a personal Web site or some other place that does not appear to be Neutral or Verifiable. KIndly do not Revert en masse, but if you want to put any of this data back, please be sure the items are accompanied by neutral and verifiable Sources. See WP:NPOV and WP:Verify. Yours sincerely, GeorgeLouis (talk) 15:21, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
Unsourced items . . .
[edit]This article was marked for copy-editing in January 2007. On the date below I removed most of the items that did not have a clear source. Kindly do not revert en masse, but if you want to put any of the items back, please be sure they are attested to by reliable and verifiable Sources. The next task will be to check the remaining Sources to see that they are Verifiable. See WP:Reliable and WP:Verify. Sincerely, GeorgeLouis (talk) 15:38, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
X-plicit Players . . .
[edit]The items about X-plicit Players were all sourced to the X-plicit Players Web site, which is not a Neutral Source, and therefore they were removed in the course of a general Copy-Edit that was requested in January 2007. If these items are Reverted, kindly make sure they are accompanied by Neutral and Verifiable Sources. Sincerely, GeorgeLouis (talk) 15:55, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
Baring Witness . . .
[edit]As part of copy-edit requested in January 2007, all refs to Baring Witness were removed as Unverifiable. The citations were too general for anybody (least of all your humble editor) to track down. Sincerely, GeorgeLouis (talk) 18:18, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
Paul Rapoport . . .
[edit]As part of routine copy-editing (see above), the info cited to Paul Rapoport was removed as Not Verifiable. There was no further information except for this person's name. In a bit of exhaustion right now, yours sincerely, GeorgeLouis (talk) 18:35, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
Burning Man . . .
[edit]Removed references which sourced to burningman because they were not specific enough and therefore were not verifiable. Patiently, GeorgeLouis (talk) 18:43, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
