Thorncliffe, Thorncliffe, KirkburtonThorncliffe, Kirkburton — The place name does not need 2 Commas in it. Crouch, Swale (talk) 09:35, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It wants deleting, not moving, it's not notable, its a few houses that's all. [1] Edit undone by editor producing loads of these "articles" and redlinks. --J3Mrs (talk) 12:16, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Sorry I may have mucked this up as I moved the article without realising there was a discussion about a move going on. It may need to be moved again by the look of the above discussion. Keith D (talk) 12:12, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thorncliffe, West YorkshireThorncliff, West Yorkshire – Per the Ordnance Survey and the University of Nottingham placenames survey. While it does seem like the spelling with the "e" is common as Thorn Cliffe (the individual building) Thorncliffe Working Mens Club, Thorncliffe Green and Thorncliffe Spring Farm use the "e", Thorncliff Farm, Thorncliffe Green Road and Thorncliff Spring don't. Crouch, Swale (talk) 17:58, 5 February 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. Favonian (talk) 18:30, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. Just because the Ordnance Survey and a university project get it wrong doesn't mean Wikipedia should copy them. In any case, the OS map spells it correctly on the 1:50,000 mapping, it's only wrong at 1:25,000. Note that a search of the council site for "Thorncliffe" returns 36 results, whereas a search for "Thorncliff" returns zero. --188.30.81.47 (talk) 18:43, 5 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
