Lawsuits

Section titled "Lawsuits" is better described as "In the News." Third paragraph in this section has a citation to a source with a paywall and therefore cannot be fully accessed. New office in New York

In July 2021, U.S. law firm Thompson Coburn combined with Hahn & Hessen and opened a new office in New York. In the info box, could the number of offices be changed from "6" to "7"? And can the second sentence be changed to the following to add New York and alphabetize the office locations? "The firm has more than 400 attorneys nationwide and offices in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Southern Illinois, St. Louis and Washington, D.C." Hi Spencecomms. I don't see a problem with making this change, apart from the removal of the Hosanna-Tabor case. That one still appears to be notable. Brief updates

Remove "Notable cases" section, which contains incorrect info

Greetings, could an editor remove the "Notable Cases" section? For the only case listed, Thompson Coburn was not a named law firm before the U.S. Supreme Court, so the information is not correct. Thank you in advance for the assistance. Spencecomms (talk) 19:59, 28 March 2023 (UTC)

@Spencecomms: For future reference, the New York Times source said Douglas Laycock, a law professor at the University of Virginia who argued the case without mentioning Thompson Coburn and the The Reporter said Sherri Strand of Thompson Coburn LLP, St. Louis, who served as co-counsel for Hosanna-Tabor along with Professor Douglas Laycock. @Rjjiii: It’s a question of semantics, I think. A Thompson Coburn partner represented Hosanna-Tabor in the underlying litigation, but it was Laycock who represented the client in all SCOTUS filings and proceedings. Spencecomms (talk) 16:15, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
