To-do list for Theta Tau:

Recent issue with Syracuse University
[edit]Throwing out for discussion. How, if at all, should the recent events at Syracuse University be covered. The initial edit that mentions it is the following.
- In April of 2018, Syracuse University suspended Theta Tau after video of members surfaced that the university chancellor considered to be "extremely racist, anti-Semitic, homophobic, sexist and hostile to people with disabilities." <ref>{{Cite news|url=https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/18/nyregion/syracuse-fraternity-suspended.html|title=Syracuse Fraternity Suspended for ‘Extremely Racist’ Video|date=2018-04-18|work=The New York Times|access-date=2018-04-19|language=en-US|issn=0362-4331}}</ref> Naraht (talk) 15:29, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
Fraternities and sororities often make headlines for controversial behavior and the results that follow. Historically, Wikipedia entries do make mention of these incidents. Not doing so in the case of Syracuse Theta Tau would be highly aberrational. Please do not delete cited reference to this incident until discussion has taken place here. - Two suggestions for changes
- Move the text into a level 2 section called controversies to reflect the way it is on other GLO pages.
- change to say suspended the chapter of theta tau.Naraht (talk)•
- Alternatively, a note about the offending chapter could be linked as a reference against that specific chapter, rather than in a nationally focused article. This does not appear to be a systemic problem. Jax MN (talk) 06:36, 24 December 2020 (UTC)
