Edit Query

[edit]

This:-
"In 2004 the business returned to family ownership after being purchased back from Scottish & Newcastle by the four Theakston brothers."
was removed anonymously and without explanation on 9th October: does anyone know why? Moonraker12 10:51, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I spotted the removal and could not locate any reference for or against so left it. If you have a reference for it occuring then add it back. Keith D 13:27, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Good grief! Now I feel like Charlie Brown trying to decide which shoe to put on first!
I only put this here to find out if there was any good reason to delete it ; if I had been feeling bolder on Thursday I would probably just have reverted it as being unexplained ( and anonymous).
Checking just now with the edit history, the comment has been there since the first day of the article, so it is as reliable as the rest of it.
But, (and thanks for bringing it up) now you’ve commented on putting it back in if it has a source, makes me realize the whole article is unsourced. So “ as reliable as the rest of it” suddenly doesn’t seem to be saying very much.
I’ll just sit here on the club-house floor a bit longer and think about my shoes! Moonraker12 10:42, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Finally, a solution! ( I’ve put it back and added an unreferenced tag) Moonraker12 15:29, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yogscast

[edit]

If anyone on this page knows of the popular Youtube channel known as Bluexephos (I doubt it very much) there is a recurring character on their series known as 'old peculiar'. Perhaps someone could mention this in the article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Harry McThompson (talkcontribs) 21:01, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Outdated Information on Bottled Beers

[edit]

The statement "Only two of the beers are filtered and pasteurised to be made available in bottles, Theakston XB and Old Peculier" is certainly incorrect, as I am drinking bottled "Masham Glory" (a beer not even mentioned in th4e article) even as i type this - purchased in Hong Kong. The shop where I bought it had a couple of other Theakston brews in bottles, but I didn't note which ones. Masham Glory is one of several bottled beers shown under "Shop" on the brewery's website [1], so clearly they don't only bottle the 2 brews mentioned. Can someone please update this? Out for the count?

[edit]

I may be drinking Old Peculier (I AM drinking Old Peculier), but I can only count five seasonal ales where it says six. Can anyone see six? Peridon (talk) 21:04, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
