Incomplete Tour Date List

[edit]

I would add a table in but for talk pages I don't know how to (and I miss doing that on pages) but here's a article saying there 2 tour dates that have happened, please add Hellfest on June 28, 2023 and Hollywood Bowl on June 25, 2023. They've also performed at the St. Augustine Amphitheater on May 13, 2023, and the New Orleans show that said May 10th 2023 was actually on the 11th.

Oh and for Personnel can we add John Konesky on the guitar, John Spiker on the bass, keyboards and piano and Scott Seiver on the drums. The ending paragraph on this article will prove it. Thomasthedarkenguine (talk) 00:50, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop saying anything about proving it. We aren't asking editors to prove something is true. We ask them to provide reliable sources that are saying it is true. What is mxdwn? Valereee (talk) 14:05, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
For other editors' convenience please provide a link to our article about the source or explain why you believe the source is a reliable one. The first source you've quote here is Pitchfork (website). The second is theamp.com which after wasting my time going and looking I discover is the venue where the tour was scheduled, which as we've discussed multiple times cannot be considered a reliable source for saying the thing happened. The third is festivaly. Which on first glance looks like another waste of time. The fourth is mxdwn. No idea what that is, looks like maybe a blog? Valereee (talk) 14:49, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Note: When you've filled out the table, you can ping me. Valereee (talk) 14:25, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I shall improve my sources. Thomasthedarkenguine (talk) 15:14, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please see the message on your talk. If you bring another bad source in here without asking for help assessing that source for reliability at Teahouse first, I'm going to have to block you for wasting other peoples' time. Valereee (talk) 15:18, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I did see the message and I'm really trying to improve, I'm about to ask the teahouse for clarification on some sources im unsure of. Thomasthedarkenguine (talk) 15:30, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Valereee: here's a start so far. Obviously this is still a slight work in progress. Thomasthedarkenguine (talk) 00:52, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Where did you ask about those two sources? I don't think I'm finding it at teahouse. Valereee (talk) 11:33, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I asked about it here Thomasthedarkenguine (talk) 17:21, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Why didn't you keep asking as Teahouse, as I told you to do? LITERALLY I SAID If you bring another bad source in here without asking for help assessing that source for reliability at Teahouse first. Why did you go somewhere else? I am losing my temper, Thomas. Those are both absolute crap sources, and that editor -- who by the way has less experience than you -- gave you bad advice. Unfortunately at places other than Teahouse, often there isn't as much oversight of people answering questions. So bad answers get through. Use Teahouse. I'm going to assume this was a miscommunication on my part, but this is your absolute last chance. Valereee (talk) 17:32, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok look, let's just leave it like this for now, we can come back to this later. I was told in the teahouse to go to that noticeboard which was why I posted there. To be honest I'm conflicted where to go now. Thomasthedarkenguine (talk) 19:23, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I sympathize with the frustration you're feeling when one person tells you one thing and another says something else, but why would you take the word of someone you just started interacting with over that of someone you've been working with daily for months? And did you see I'd dropped into that teahouse convo and explained? Which BTW you could have done yourself: "Valereee told me to ask about this here rather than elsewhere because you all were patient and willing to work with editors who needed help."
Thomas, honestly, if you still need to even wonder whether a blog is a reliable source, much less ask someone about it on a noticeboard, you aren't getting it. I think this is unlikely to work. I know you're trying, but you just really don't seem to be making any progress on understanding this. I'm sorry. I think you should find another hobby. Valereee (talk) 21:00, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I believe progress takes time, I mean how long did it take you to get the hang of sources? (P.s. that question is not supposed to be insulting I'm just wanting to make a point about how progress takes a while) Thomasthedarkenguine (talk) 00:24, 9 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is that the time it is taking for you to start making any progress is wasting the time of every other editor who tries to help. You need to go learn somewhere else, then come back here once you've figured it out. Valereee (talk) 01:11, 9 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok I'll practice the adding content somewhere else, but the removal of content I'll still do here. Thomasthedarkenguine (talk) 02:04, 9 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I refuse to give up, I am loaded with perseverance. I will find more sources. But I'm also primarily focusing on finding stuff that needs to be fixed with spelling or stuff that ain't sourced and needs to be removed. Thomasthedarkenguine (talk) 00:11, 9 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
