Proposal to merge Eloquent into The SWORD Project

[edit]

Absent distinct notability, Eloquent should be merged in with The SWORD Project. That front ends of The SWORD Project should be merged into the main article for the project was part of the consensus that arose from the AfD in 2006: Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/The_Sword_Project --Oskilla (talk) 22:44, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am in favour of the proposed merge. DFH (talk) 10:47, 8 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Frontend list

[edit]

This article has an extensive list of frontends that make use of the SWORD project, but are not themselves part of the SWORD project. Many of these are either unsourced, or there only sources are selfpublished (or press release type repostings, which is as good as selfpublished). Should we really be listing all of these here? If so, should we pare this down to only sourced the entries with independent sourcing? Should we use a more compact way to display these, such as a table?

My personal preference would be to remove all the stuff without independent sourcing and compress what is left (if that is anything) into a table or a bulleted list. - MrOllie (talk) 20:47, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Id prefer to leave it as it is, the STEPBible entry was merged here after an AFD discussion and that might be the case for some of the other entries. The participants in that AFD felt this was a suitable place for the applications. Also, your edit warring to remove the links instead of discussing it was not collegiate, imv Atlantic306 (talk) 23:14, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Even the completely unsourced ones?
As to the external links, your revert seemed to be based on a clear misunderstanding of the guideline about official sites. If you feel strongly that the links should be retained, I could go somewhere like WP:ELN for more opinions. - MrOllie (talk) 11:40, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
