- ... that Queen Camilla has said that her childhood at The Laines was "perfect in every way"? Source: [1]

- article created 14 October. No issues of copyvio or plagiarism. All sources appear reliable. Hook is interesting and sourced. QPQ is done. Looks ready to go. Thriley (talk) 05:42, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Thriley: I assume that was a review? Because then it needs a DYK tick to get recognised as such. –LordPeterII (talk) 20:02, 19 October 2022 (UTC)
One of those instances...
[edit]...where a reliable source has an inaccuracy. Gyles Brandreth (ref [4]) has got his map-reading slightly wrong: The Laines is about a mile and a half south of the racecourse, at the other end of Plumpton Lane. No criticism of the reliability of the source or of the article, just an observation from a local (and not actionable, because I don't have any reliable source to counter it)! - Thank you, Hassocks5489. You are quite right (of course). If we look at the Historic England entry for The Laines, it handily shows the perimeter of the property, and there is no sign of any racecourse. I will remove that sentence. Edwardx (talk) 11:21, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
