Primary Topic
[edit]Isn't Edward III's son the primary topic here? The majority of the other topics here are named after him. john k (talk) 14:50, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, surely so. However I don't think this changes anything. We don't have a "false primary" article where The Black Prince redirects to The Black Prince (rapper) or somesuch. Edward of Woodstock's primary article is under Edward, the Black Prince, which is an even better form of address for him than The Black Prince.
- We certainly could (as I believe you suggest) rename this page to The Black Prince (disambiguation) and make The Black Prince a redirect straight to Edward, the Black Prince, but I don't think that really gains us much. Andy Dingley (talk) 15:44, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
- That is certainly what policy suggests we should do. john k (talk) 15:47, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
- Well if it annoys you that much, WP:SOFIXIT. Personally there's about a squillion edits I'd get to first, but hey, it's a wiki. I wouldn't disagree with you over it (unless you suggested moving Edward, the Black Prince, which I do think would be a mistake). Andy Dingley (talk) 17:16, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
- I would certainly not suggest moving the existing article. I'll probably move if nobody objects over the next few days. john k (talk) 17:43, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
