Date?

[edit]

Is the date given in the article correct? I am sure that I had this poster on the wall of my workshop during a deployment in the spring and summer of 1976. rturus (talk) 15:33, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I heard more than one people claiming that during their student days, before 1972, they had this poster on their wall. There is also a calendar from 1974 with a very similar picture that appears to belong from the same photo session as this one showing the same model, same dress, same tennis and naked posterior taken at a slightly different moment.

If the date given in the 'history' is correct, then the 'subject doubts' are groundless, because they are based on (a) a postcard allegedly with the postmark 1974, and (b) a Russian 1974 calendar (albeit the latter with a different and much less sophisticated image of possibly the same girl but certainly at a different time). Alternatively, if the published image already existed in 1974, then the date of 1977 in the 'history' must be wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.34.187.209 (talk) 22:08, 14 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Only two million copies?

[edit]

Surely more were sold, world-wide, than that. 72.229.61.134 (talk) 21:44, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
