TemplateFileFormat
[edit]Someone keeps putting web-development links on these pages. This article is about desktop software with a "File" menu ... not web development. Please stop putting web-development links on these pages.
File -> Save As -> Document File -> Save As -> Template

This article is about a concept, NOT about a "file extension"
[edit]Template (word processing) is a concept, for "pre-molded document" (see also Style sheet functionalities), or a "standardized file extension"?
- Could be all of the above, make your case for or against. Thanks! dr.ef.tymac 11:16, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- The concept is about use (MS-Word and others use templates as pre-load Style sheet), not about "save as"... users make use for "massive production of documents" starting with the same footer, header, style, etc. ... That is the concept for word processing users, for Microsoft marketing departament, etc. Why not for Wikipedia?
- The file extension is just one aspect, "save as" is also just one aspect. I am adding more content to support other notions of the concept soon. Since you are finding fault with the content (and apparently not intending to help, by providing citations, and other supportive, non-criticism-based actions) I will add references myself, along with anyone else willing to add constructive help (instead of just pure criticism). Thanks for your apparent continued personal interest in my contributions to WP! dr.ef.tymac 15:51, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

- DONE added content and citations. Note that the part you seem to care about exclusively (web development) is also in the article, linked just like you added it, except with a disambiguating header and comment, so as not to confuse people unfamiliar with the topic. I hope this is what you were expecting. Thanks again for your attention to this and for helping to improve the article! dr.ef.tymac 16:37, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- Very good! I was comment here beacuse you use wrong definition on Template, please correct (revert) there. -- Krauss 24 Nov 2006
