Spring (e-commerce platform) → Teespring – Company is changing its name from Teespring to Spring. However, the article should retain the older name because:
- WP:COMMONNAME. The company is much better known by their older name.
- The name Spring is much more ambiguous than Teespring.
- The company itself still uses the Teespring name — their teespring.com site still operates as normal, and the company's legal name is still Teespring Inc.
Basically, much of the same reasons why the Dunkin' Donuts article still retains its name. Saucy[talk – contribs] 04:56, 22 March 2021 (UTC) —Relisting. Jack Frost (talk) 23:02, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
Weak Oppose - We should use the most recent name (per WP:MODERNPLACENAME). I'm opposing weakly because of the company still using "Teespring" as a website and legal name (though this will probably change in the future). Gnominite (talk) 14:35, 22 March 2021 (UTC)CU-confirmed sock, please see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/CuriousGolden --Blablubbs|talk 16:15, 29 March 2021 (UTC)- From what I can tell that page seems to be talking about names of geographical places only, not company names. - Strong Oppose - They already transitioned their social media to Spring. Their new site is spri.ng. Liferific (talk) 17:56, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support - the encyclopedic article should be an overview of the company not limited in scope to just this "platform" owned/run by the company. And the company's name is still Teespring (technically Teespring, Inc. but that's not the commonname). -- Netoholic @ 20:02, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
