[edit]@Mahagaja: could you refer to the reliable source mentioning the Székely language or Szekely language? Please remember that this article was deleted a couple of year ago. Borsoka (talk) 17:17, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Borsoka: No, but it doesn't make sense to just delete this harmless redirect. If you doubt the existence of a Szekely dialect, then take it up on Talk:Hungarian dialects and gain consensus there to delete the relevant section of that article. Then it makes sense to have the redirects Székely language. Szekely language, Székely dialect, and Szekely dialect deleted. But as long as there is a section on the Szekely dialect in the article Hungarian dialects, it's foolish to delete this redirect to it. Especially as long the three other redirects remain. —Mahāgaja · talk 17:26, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
- I do not doubt the existence of the Székely dialect of the Hungarian language: the Székelys speak a Hungarian dialect. If you cannot refer to a reliable source defining Székely language, why do you redirect it to Hungarian language? Again, you are restoring an article that was once consensually deleted. - @Mahagaja: and @Onel5969: could I you refer to a reliable source mentioning Székely language? Borsoka (talk) 17:59, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
- Borsoka, that's irrelevant. Page blanking is disruptive editing, and can lead to getting you blocked. An AfD discussion led to the creation of this redirect. If you have an issue with it, take it to RfD. Onel5969 TT me 18:01, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
- Reliable sources are required for claims the encyclopedia actually makes. A redirect from Székely language to Hungarian dialects is not a claim that Székelys speak a different language from other Hungarians. It's simply a tool that will allow anyone who searches for the phrase "Székely language" (perhaps because they aren't aware that Székely isn't a separate language) to be taken to the relevant article where they can read about it. Redirects are not content subject to things like WP:RS, WP:NOR and WP:NPOV; they're just redirects. —Mahāgaja · talk 18:32, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you for your clarification. I understand it. My concern that this probably useless redirect provocate ethno-national edit warriors to creat hoaxes. Borsoka (talk) 18:45, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
