[edit]Should this article and Seishirō Sakurazuka be added to the category LGBT characters in comics? I feel it might make sense since Toya, Yukito and Tomoyo are all listed in this category. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.73.161.223 (talk) 06:03, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
- you could, if you want to. in the last volume of tokyo babylon, subaru clearly states that he "loved" seishiro (well, in my translation, anyway...) so... yeah, it'd work. seishiro's situation is a little tougher, because he doesn't state it outright, but we can assume from the x manga that he had similar feelings for subaru. rairakku (talk) 00:02, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
Summary of events in X/1999
[edit]It appears that we have a disagreement over how to describe the events after Rainbow Bridge as they happen in manga and anime. The concerned section runs as follows:
From this point, the manga and TV series differ. In the manga, following Seishirō's death, Subaru is slated to become the next Sakurazukamori, for the ritual of succession for Sakurazukamori is to kill their predecessor. Seishirō wished for Subaru to erase the mark another man had left on him. As such, Fuma gave Subaru Seishirō's eye, which he states was the only thing of his he could find at Rainbow Bridge, to replace the one the young man lost. This act completes this ritual and, after regaining his full sight, Subaru becomes the Sakurazukamori and one of the Dragons of Earth. Since he has lost the one person he wished to protect, he is rendered unable to create a kekkai any longer. His fate beyond this is unknown as the manga remains incomplete.
In the TV series, his status as Sakurazukamori is not directly alluded to. Instead, Subaru sinks back into a catatonic state, urging Kamui to look to his own wish and advising him that "it is impossible for everyone to be happy". He is, as in the manga, unable to create a kekkai, having lost the one person in the world for whom he truly cared. Because he addmited his love for Seishirou He is, as in the manga, unable to create a kekkai, having lost the one person in the world for whom he truly cared and show his love for Seishirou
After the incident on Rainbow Bridge, Subaru is slated to become the next Sakurazukamori, for the ritual of succession for Sakurazukamori is to kill their predecessor.
'Seishiro wished for Subaru to return to being as he was before they met. As such, he asks Fuma to give Subaru his eye for the one the young man lost. This act completes this ritual and, after regaining his full sight, Subaru becomes the 14th Sakurazukamori and one of the Dragons of Earth.
The bolded section replaces anime content with manga content. I have reverted the addition repeatedly and worked some of the content into the manga section, but by now this has pretty much become an edit war. Dear IP, please look at your talk page, where I have left you a message. Dear other editors of this article, please get involved to help settle this issue. --KagamiNoMiko (talk) 14:22, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

Hello. Per our agreement, I will be reviewing this article. This is my first GA review, so if I mess up somehow please have mercy. Anyway, I won't be able to start until after Christmas. I look forward to reviewing the article. Link20XX (talk) 18:52, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
@Link20XX: Thanks. Just remember the ping feature or mention to add a link other editors when elaborating on certain comments.Tintor2 (talk) 19:46, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
@Tintor2: I have completed my initial review. Great job with the article, just a few critiques are needed. I made some small changes for you.
Lead:
- Who is Hokuto? Some clarification on that in the lead would be helpful, maybe phrase it something like, "living with his twin sister, Hokuto Sumeragi ..."
- Done.
Creation and Development:
- In casting, make the one with the VA for the X show a bit more obvious its the show, like "In the X TV series, ..."
- Fixed
Reception:
- The 2nd review is from Mania Entertainment, so saying "from the same site" is incorrect and should be corrected to say "from Mania Entertainment" or something like that.
- Thanks for the correction. Revised
Changes over multiple sections:
- Sometimes Seishiro is spelled as Seishirō. Making the spelling consistent throughout the entire article would be nice
- Revised
- Seishiro seems like an important character to Subaru, so linking the article on Seishiro in other sections his name appears would be helpful
- Relink
Once you have revised the article, ping me again and I will pass it. Great job on the article. Link20XX (talk) 17:52, 26 December 2020 (UTC) @Link20XX: Thanks for the review. I hope every change I made is okay.Tintor2 (talk) 18:15, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
@Tintor2: The changes you made are enough. The article passes the review and is now a GA. Nice work and congratulations! Link20XX (talk) 18:26, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
Subaru Leone
[edit]I just read over the Clamp no Kiseki interview, and when talking about Subaru Leone, I was under the impression that Leone was the name of a penguin shikigami used by Subaru, and it is this shikigami that is named after that the car rather than Subaru himself. What do you think? ISD (talk) 11:40, 12 November 2021 (UTC)
- Yeah, they say Subaru originates from the car. Feel free to be bold and add or edit anything.Tintor2 (talk) 11:52, 12 November 2021 (UTC)
