- The DYK is certaily interesting, and the sources cited support the statement. I'm IAR'ing the 9/10 days, given the AfD and the very interesting hook, so no problems there. I can't find the corresponding source and body text for the fact he falsely claimed to be a prince of Macedonia, so that BLP issue needs to be sorted. I'll need to do a further spot-check still for BLP/copyvio. Earwig is clean, QPQ is done. —Femke 🐦 (talk) 18:56, 17 February 2024 (UTC)
- I've done spot checks on four paragraphs, showing good text-source integrity and no copyvio/transvio :). Minor point: What make Wine Spectator a reliable source? This may be subjective, but this seems a bit too close to gossip to me? —Femke 🐦 (talk) 20:39, 17 February 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for the review! Ref2 (https://www.rtlnieuws.nl/nieuws/buitenland/artikel/5322041/nepprins-montenegro-djukanovic-cernetic) mentions him claiming to be prince of Macedon, although I think his claim to being prince of Montenegro was the more legally significant since the Montenegrin government is the one that complained. Wine Spectatory is probably reliable because it seems to have editorial standards for its writers/editors (https://www.winespectator.com/articles/about-our-tastings). I can definitely remove it though if you're uncertain, it isn't really an important part of the article and the topic is a bit gossip-y since the winery owner is ultimately the source. BuySomeApples (talk) 00:05, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
- Please ensure it's clear in the article that RTL Nieuws is the source here. —Femke 🐦 (talk) 14:43, 2 March 2024 (UTC)

Directly from Stefano Černetić
[edit]Dear Sir or Madam, who can Stefano Černetić contact directly to have this article removed or corrected? The article was written with a lot of mistakes and incorrect information that was in the news and tabloids. But especially that information, which goes back far into the past, and since Stefano Černetić proved that he is a noble just recently in Turin, such information is not so widespread and bombastic, therefore it is not widespread. In the spirit of freedom of thought, correctness, objectivity and above all reality and democracy in the free world, please whom should Stegano Četnetić contact?
If it is written about a person, someone should check the credibility of the information, especially since it is a sensitive topic and because it will cause damage to a person and to his family. 178.221.163.251 (talk) 20:18, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
- The short answer is there is no one he can contact to have this article removed. The matter was discussed back in January, and it was an effectively unanimous decision by the community to keep the article.
- The slightly longer answer is, please read WP:BLPEDIT, which explains what rights and options the subject of a Wikipedia article may have in relation to that article.
- If there are factual errors, objectively speaking, then corrections to those can be requested via this talk page using the {{Edit COI}} template. Such requests must clearly explain what needs to be corrected and how, and be supported with evidence from reliable published sources verifying the requested change.
- HTH, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:55, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
- Stefano Černetić understands that objectivity is important and wants to share with you the extract of the court's decision in order to give a realistic picture and to make the Wikipedia article objective.
- By the way, Stefano Černetić has two sons, please correct that.
- This is the link that contains the documentation https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1CLPF9aSVWDyxrnZUkKTKTNhQXXY26xac?usp=drive_link 93.87.51.1 (talk) 09:47, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I will not access anything in someone's Google Drive. In any case, we can only consider reliable, published sources.
- Do not reveal unreferenced personal or family details, such as these, on a public web page. I will ask for that comment to be removed from the record.
- What I will do, as a compromise solution, is remove details of this person's children from the article, as I don't see them being in any way relevant here. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:32, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
- But then Stefano Černetić does not know how to write in this article in an objective form. Especially since the article starts out as "fraud" and that is not what has been proven in court. Please then write without prejudice and on the basis of the information that was written in the tabloids before the conclusion of the court. 37.19.108.128 (talk) 11:02, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
Update information
[edit]In the name of justice, fairness and that the information on the site is legitimate, the Prince provides you with important and freshest articles written after the court's decision on his innocence. Unfortunately, Wikipedia was heavily used by the tabloids before the court's decision and thus gave Prince a bad reputation. Please take these articles into account and write a real Wikipedia article about the Prince who proved his noble origin.

In the name of the Stefano Černetić
[edit]Dear Wikipedia Editorial Team, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally request the removal of the Wikipedia article on Stefano Černetić, citing several compelling reasons that underscore the necessity for its removal from your platform. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stefano_%C4%8Cerneti%C4%87 Stefano Černetić is an individual who has faced past legal challenges and media scrutiny, particularly regarding his claims to nobility and allegations of fraud. However, it is crucial to note that Černetić has been acquitted by the court of Turin in 2023, which legally absolves him of any criminal wrongdoing related to the charges brought against him. This legal exoneration is a fundamental aspect of his right to privacy and fair treatment under the law. Furthermore, the article on Wikipedia continues to emphasize Černetić's past controversies and allegations without appropriately reflecting the court's ruling. This perpetuates a misleading and potentially defamatory narrative that undermines his legal vindication and violates his rights as an acquitted individual. Moreover, Černetić's claims to a historical noble heritage have been substantiated by a court investigation into his genealogical background. The court found evidence supporting his ancestral ties to a noble house historically associated with Montenegro and Macedonia. This aspect of his identity, though contested in other respects, has legal and historical merit that should be accurately represented. Additionally, the article's reliance on tabloid sources and sensationalist reporting further detracts from its credibility as an encyclopedic entry. Wikipedia, as a reputable and respected online encyclopedia, holds a responsibility to maintain standards of accuracy, neutrality, and fairness in its content. The current article on Stefano Černetić fails to meet these standards and instead perpetuates biased and potentially harmful information. Given these points, I kindly request that you consider the following actions: Remove the article on Stefano Černetić from Wikipedia due to its violation of his legal acquittal and the perpetuation of misleading information. Respect Černetić's right to privacy and fair treatment under the law, which includes accurate representation of his legal status and historical background. Uphold Wikipedia's commitment to factual accuracy and ethical reporting by refraining from perpetuating sensationalist narratives and tabloid journalism. Stefano Černetić has expressed his desire for the removal of this article, emphasizing the significant personal and professional repercussions he continues to face as a result of its misleading content. It is imperative that Wikipedia, as a serious and influential site, acts responsibly in this matter. I don't want a bad name to follow me, especially since I proved my legitimacy in court. My ancestors have earned their reputation honorably for their virtues and humanity, I do not want my family name to be ruined. Thank you for your attention to this request. I trust that you will carefully consider the arguments presented and take appropriate action to rectify this issue promptly. Sincerely, Stefano Černetić Justesforprinc (talk) 12:12, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Justesforprinc:
- What is your relationship to Stefano Černetić, given that you seem to be acting as his spokesperson, and intimating some sort of an external relationship with him?
- Please tread carefully around legal arguments, lest you cross the line into legal threats, which are not allowed on Wikipedia.
- The standard procedure for deleting articles is by Articles for Deletion (AfD) discussion, where the community decides whether or not to delete one. This article was discussed some five months ago, and the decision was to keep it; you can see a record of that discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stefano Černetić.
- Best Regards, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:28, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
- Dear DoubleGrazing, You seem like an honest person who wants Wikipedia to be a reliable source of information for all people.
- Unfortunately, I don't understand a lot of Wikipedia terminology and I don't know how to nominate articles for deletion. I admit that for such a thing a person needs to have good IT knowledge, which unfortunately we don't have.
- To answer your questions:
- 1. Yes, I am a friend of the Prince, who asked me to address you. I speak on behalf of Prince Stefano Černetić, he proved his origin in court in 2023 and that he has the right to use that title. This is also confirmed by the law of Italy, where he currently lives.
- 2. I do not want to break the civil laws or the laws of Wikipedia. Wikipedia is a respected encyclopedia of knowledge that I do not wish to embarrass in any way. On the contrary, I want it to serve its purpose.
- 3. Unfortunately, as I said, I don't know how to use Wikipedia and I really can't use the ways to delete an article.
- Please, this article tarnishes the reputation of a person who has been proven innocent. Prince Stevano Černetić was popular according to the tabloids and that caused a fire.
- I have already argued why the article should be deleted.
- I understand your thinking, but such articles are not for Wikipedia.
- I hope I managed to explain myself.
- With respect,
- Prince Stefano Černetić Justesforprinc (talk) 12:47, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Justesforprinc: I am, if anything, more confused now. You say you are
"a friend of the Prince"
, yet you sign your messages "Prince Stefano Černetić". These seem mutually contradictory. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:54, 19 June 2024 (UTC)- Yes I am a friend of Prince Stefan Černetić, who asked me to try to communicate with you.
- I transfer and type the text on his behalf, that's why I sign as Prince Stefano Černetić. I don't want to make a mistake, I won't sign like that again, but I just wanted to give credibility that I don't know how else to give.
- Also, if I make mistakes in writing, grammar and the like, please forgive me as I use google translate. Justesforprinc (talk) 13:10, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
- Please reply 93.87.51.1 (talk) 10:41, 20 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Justesforprinc: I am, if anything, more confused now. You say you are
- @DoubleGrazingDear Sir, I beg you on behalf of the Prince to delete this article. It is full of spectacular headlines from the tabloids and unfortunately the truth is not visible. In time, things will become clear and when the truth is available, the truth will be without bombastic headlines and will be based on facts. But if you want to write about him, write only the facts that he comes from an old ruling family from the 17th century. Write about his ancestors who printed books, write how they led the migration of people in the Balkans to be safe from the Ottoman Empire, please write the facts. The history of the Balkans is very complex and full of contradictions, many dynasties that cannot be tolerated, even if the countries of the Balkans are not monarchies, the hatred from the past is still felt. People in some parts of the Balkans still have tribes, literally. Wikipedia is needed by humanity, please let's do the right thing. Justesforprinc (talk) 08:26, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Justesforprinc: please stop with the begging and pleading. I am not an administrator, and couldn't therefore delete this article even if I wanted to. Which I don't want to. The recent AfD discussion produced a strong and clear consensus in favour of keeping it, and I for one happen to agree with that outcome.
- And please, do not try to dictate what Wikipedia is or isn't 'allowed' to write. We summarise what independent and reliable secondary sources have said, not what the subject says. If there are factual errors in the article which you wish to rectify, you may make an edit request, supported by appropriate sources, as detailed at WP:Edit requests. Merely saying that you (or the subject, in case you are different individuals) don't like something is not sufficient. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:47, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
