Cannot find sources
[edit]Here are the bits that I cannot find reliable source for:
- the monastery is at an elevation of 2,500 metres (8,200 ft) above sea level (only on Facebook - copied from WP?)
- in a narrow gorge made by the Amaghu River. (only on Facebook)
it was built during the period of Zakarid ArmeniaDone
Are there reliable sources for any of these?--CaroleHenson (talk) 00:38, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
- The monaster was built by a certain nobleman Yesayi and his son Amir Hasan in 1321 (that's exactly Zakarid period). (Armenian Soviet encyclopedia, vol. 11, page 75), (Armenien: 3000 Jahre Kultur zwischen Ost und West)
- Concerning elevation and position, I will try to check. But the position of Amaghu river seems to me a confusion with Noravank. Хаченци (talk) 01:55, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
- Great, thanks! I'll make the updates for your first item.--CaroleHenson (talk) 02:56, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
