Conflict?
[edit]It was an occupation. Why is this article titled conflict? Lebanesebebe123 (talk) 16:47, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
- See Israeli occupation of Southern Lebanon for that aspect. Selfstudier (talk) 16:52, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
- Why are they seperate articles? Lebanesebebe123 (talk) 15:56, 8 February 2024 (UTC)
- Basic logic. This page is about Hezbollah's fight against the occupation; thus a conflict between Hezbollah and the IDF. EgyptianNationalist (talk) 08:04, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
- That’s not basic logic. It’s not clear. And there needs to be a mention to the other article in the intro. Lebanesebebe123 (talk) 04:06, 1 June 2024 (UTC)
- This article is misleading. In order for it to not be misleading from what the 1985 conflict was- Israeli occupation of south Lebanon, that article needs to be mentioned in the intro. Otherwise readers will be left thinking it was a conflict and not an occupation. Regardless of who was fighting who Lebanesebebe123 (talk) 04:08, 1 June 2024 (UTC)
- While I agree that the conflict aspect of the argument is valid, the missing link is the purpose of this conflict which is only seen in the article from the Israeli defensive perspective as a consequence of the developments after their invasion of Lebanon to expel the PLO. The article however doesn't portray the official Lebanese stance which is that the original invasion in 1982 was illegal and the United Nations Security Council Resolution 425 called for the immediate withdrawal of all Israeli troops from the Lebanese territories and Israel did not do this until 2000. --FirasKay (talk) 22:14, 27 June 2024 (UTC)

Article should mention the occupation of south Lebanon by Israel.
[edit]There should be mention of this article- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli_occupation_of_Southern_Lebanon
in intro. Otherwise article is misleading. Lebanesebebe123 (talk) 04:09, 1 June 2024 (UTC)
