South-East Region, Ireland → South-East Region — I think that this article should merge with South-East Region. The South-East Region article just redirects to this article. It had no material. Yet it is "squatting" on the proper name for the region. No other region of the world has this name. The disambiguation page for South-East Region can contiue to use the name for the avoidance of doubt. Laurel Lodged (talk) 12:54, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have no opinion on the merits or non-merits of the requested change, but wish to note that since the proposed title is currently a redirect to this one rather than a separate article about the same topic, the nomination constitutes a move request, not a merger of two articles. Accordingly, I've removed the {{mergeto}} template from the article, and added the {{movereq}} template here, as this is the correct process for the request. Oppose there is an article called Southeast Region, Brazil, so i think South-East Region, Ireland should remain as it is to avoid possible confusion. Someone could type in South-East Region thinking they'll be getting the one in Brazil - you all know how everyone types south-east/southeast/south east different. Comment also note how in the history of South-East Region it was originally a redirect to Regions of Ireland, which this article is on about one of. It was this way for 3 years before it was changed to a redirect to Southeast. Mabuska ^(talk) 11:49, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment most of the Irish regions are of the form xxx Region, Ireland. And the dab page indicates a Southeast Region, Brazil, which is in Portuguese, so is dependent on the translator how to use punctuation on the "south-east" portion of the name. 76.66.200.95 (talk) 05:19, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
