Seized vs. terminated contract
[edit]As seen in the article, the contract between GECAS and SkyEurope was terminated, and the aircraft returned to the leasor. The word "seized" was used inappropriately.

SkyEurope; Bandits or Bankrupt?
[edit]Despite their pretences that business is as usual, it seems more than likely that SkyEurope is going bankrupt. That had better be the case; otherwise there would be every indication that the company is out to rob unsuspecting individuals the evidence of which is plenty.
We bought two tickets to Brussels in August 2008 with the SkyEurope. At the airport, just before check in, we were told that our flight was cancelled due to a strike by SkyEurope’s ‘handlers’ at Brussels’s airport. Later I found out (I am an investigative journalist) that the ‘handlers’ had not been paid, but that’s besides the point. We were given forms to fill to be refunded from SkyEurope, went off to buy tickets from other airlines at sky high prices and flew to Brussels.
A few days later, we sent our completed forms to SkyEurope and waited for our refunds. Nothing happened for a month. I contacted them both by phone and E-mail. They claimed they had already paid my bank the sum due to me. The bank denied the receipt of any such money. I wrote to SkyEurope again. This time adopting an intimidating attitude, they said as far as they were concerned, they had sent me the money and that the matter was closed for them!! The bank wanted to have the details of the transaction, but SkyEurope absolutely refused to give out any details, and for good reason, because no such transaction had taken place. SkyEurope chose to ignore all my emails.
Only when I decided to take legal action against them ( and of course make a comprehensive public report on it) that SkyEurope contacted me and formally apologized for “the mistake” and promised that the money would be sent to my bank soon. That was nearly two months ago!! Nothing happened.
I contacted them again. This time they said that they were going through “administrative changes” and that all payments had been delayed. Surprise, surprise!! SkyEurope is coming clean. In reply to my enquiry if they were going into receivership, they said “not yet”!!
SkyEurope is either in deep financial trouble and going bankrupt or is going to be in trouble by betraying its customers who will not keep their resolve for much longer. If it is SkyEurope’s policy to rob passengers this way, and then go on using every possible trick to deny their rights, sooner or later (in my case very soon) they find themselves in a big legal scandal. I have decided to take legal action against them regardless of the costs. My costs will be paid by the guilty party. I shall start a journalistic campaign of revealing the truth against them; too, so unsuspecting individuals would not lose out to a highway robber. Fariba Mavaddat
JanSuchy
[edit]I just would like to point out that the user "JanSuchy" has been systematically trying to collect any negative information he is able to find about this company for about 1.5 months and has been eagerly inserting it in articles in this and other wikipedias. Such a negative eagerness is not normal, most other firms do not receive such a "special treatment" here. He is obviously being paid or has some other very strong motivation for goofing on this firm, so I call upon the admins to do something about that, otherwise this is a very clear case for a court.
- After reading an article [1] by Jan Sůra in Mladá Fronta Dnes, I opened a SkyEurope page in Wikipedia to get more info. As the articles on English and other Wikipedias resembled Press Releases, I added more info. As positive info was already there, most of thre sentences I have added were negative. You are welcome to add more sourced info to the articles. Regards JanSuchy (talk) 20:06, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
