- ... that Scarborough Town Hall (pictured) is a red brick Jacobean Revival mansion with a view over the town's South Bay?
- ALT1:... that the Jacobean Revival Scarborough Town Hall was built as a private home before being converted in 1903?
- ALT2:... that the only statue of a public figure in Scarborough is a memorial to Queen Victoria outside its Town Hall (pictured)?

- Hi Rcsprinter123, I'll take a look at this one. "Jacobean Revival" is not mentioned in the main body of text and isn't sourced; neither is "red brick" or "views over South Bay", though that's probably more obvious; otherwise the hooks check out; article is new enough and long enough; article is cited inline throughout; image is free and appropriate; a QPQ has been carried out; I still have to check for any paraphrasing issues, hopefully be back later - Dumelow (talk) 11:52, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
- I have added Jaocobean into the Architecture section, where it is covered, along with red-brick, by the NHLE ref at the end of the paragraph. I think the 'view over the bay' part is self-explanatory by its position on the map and photographs, etc. Rcsprinter123 (collogue) 13:01, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, I think that's fine. I added the Victoria statue image to the article as that is a DYK requirement; the alternative showing the town hall alone is also useable. Theres a few bits that are closely worded from the Civic Society source:
- "a member of a prosperous and influential Scarborough family"
- "red brick with stone dressings, string courses, cornice and parapet"
- "and who had inherited the property in 1879, offered St Nicholas House to the Corporation, which purchased the building for £33,575"
- "to accommodate the council chamber and other offices"
- "youngest daughter of Queen Victoria, formally opened the Town Hall and unveiled the new bronze statue"
- Rcsprinter123: Would you mind taking a quick look at these to see if they can be reworded a bit? - Dumelow (talk) 16:21, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
- I've done some rewording to the points as suggested. Hopefully acceptable now. Thanks Dumelow. Rcsprinter123 (blab) 22:44, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
- Yep, I think that's fine now - Dumelow (talk) 06:46, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
