Semi-protection
[edit]For a week while authors achieve WP:consensus on genres for this artist. If in doubt, the Reliable Source noticeboard will advise, but this edit-warring is unhelpful. --Rodhullandemu 20:35, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- Protected again
I see no attempt above to even try to reach consensus on genres for this album; accordingly, I have reverted to the sourced version and semi-protected for a week. If this continues, blocks will ensue, and they won't be short ones. --Rodhullandemu 18:06, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Requested move 31 July 2018
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: Not moved. (non-admin closure) The Duke of NonsenseWhat is necessary for thee? 23:07, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
Santogold (album) → Santigold (album) – The album's name was changed accordingly after she herself changed her stage name from Santogold to Santigold in early 2009. It's titled as "Santigold" on streaming services and digital and physical retailers since then. SpaceSong (talk) 19:23, 31 July 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:COMMONNAME. All of the critical reviews (which give this album its notability) still refer to the album's original name. — Newslinger talk 04:19, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
- I just noticed that the cover art of the album was also changed to accommodate the new name. I've uploaded the alternative album cover and placed it in the album's infobox. — Newslinger talk 07:55, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Newslinger: I think including the altered artwork is redundant, considering the only difference is the text. Mentioning it was later retitled as Santigold in the lead section would sufficient IMO. SpaceSong (talk) 12:12, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
- Feel free to remove it if you don't think it adds to the article. — Newslinger talk 12:16, 2 August 2018 (UTC)

- Oppose. This is retroactive correction like when Star Wars was retitled Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope after they made a franchise out of it, and editors here decided to respect the original name (same with The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi). As Newslinger pointed out above, most media still refers to it as Santogold so I say stick with that. Ss112 08:49, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
