I'd like to mention the fact that there is a further reference to Archbishop Robert Holgate which is in the form of a monograph by Canon Addleshaw who was in York Minster during my years as pupil at Archbishop Holgate's Grammar School when it was in Lord Mayor's Walk. I was there in 1954 to 1961 and Canon Addleshaw was in the Minster most Sundays in those days. I was researching Archbishop Holgate for the web page www.ahgs.co.uk and discovered the monograph and asked our local library to trace a copy which they duly did. I paraphrased the Canon and produced this along with a segment of the original monograph.
