[edit]I have edited this page to remove the prominence given to the food product Quorn, which was placed as the main topic and also was bolded. In my opinion, Quorn, Leicestershire should be under the article title Quorn, and the food product should be under Quorn (food product). The village came first and the food stuff is named after it. There seems to be commercial pressure at work here, and Wikipedia is not an advertising forum. 86.136.31.176 (talk) 20:34, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
- Its not commercial pressure here. Perhaps at Quorn. The layout, formatting and bolding here are appropriate if Quorn the company is at the main page (see WP:MOSDAB). If you think this is not the right thing (sounds reasonable to me!), you should suggest the move at Talk:Quorn. When Quorn gets moved, we can adjust this page appropriately. - I see you have already made that suggestion. Good luck! I'll check in after a while and see how its going. (John User:Jwy talk) 05:56, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: pages not moved to the proposed titles at this time, per the discussion below. Dekimasuよ! 12:30, 7 January 2020 (UTC)
– No clear primary topic given that its named after the village in Leicestershire which would probably be primary by PT#2. It could also go under Quorn (food product) or Quorn (food brand) like Commons:Category:Quorn (food brand). There is discussion above (and at Talk:Quorn/Archive 1#Rename this article?) suggesting that the company article be moved and a move was preformed in 2014 which was reverted. - Oppose. The current setup doesn't set off any alarms with me, since the meat substitute gets 91% of the pageviews. It may not have been first, but it seems like the sole topic readers actually want. No reason to make them click through a DAB page first. Nohomersryan (talk) 02:46, 29 December 2019 (UTC)
- Support per nomination. The meat substitute's derivative name is not the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC and should be regarded in the same manner as other derivatively-named commercial commodities such as Ajax (cleaning product). —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 07:55, 29 December 2019 (UTC)
- Apples and oranges. There are far more topics called Ajax on Wikipedia than Quorn, and the cleaning product article isn't viewed nearly as much. Nohomersryan (talk) 20:54, 29 December 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose. Pageviews quoted above show the food as primary topic by an order of magnitude. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 11:25, 29 December 2019 (UTC)
- Support – disambiguation is better for these obscure topics. Dicklyon (talk) 06:02, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose, clear primary topic. —Xezbeth (talk) 06:59, 2 January 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose. The meat substitute is clearly the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for this term. And the fact that it was named after one of the other topics is not particularly relevant, otherwise Boston would not be primary over Boston, Lincolnshire. — Amakuru (talk) 11:42, 7 January 2020 (UTC)
