Fragonard
[edit]There is a discrepancy regarding the year Fragonard won the Prix de Rome. Wiki's Fragonard page says he won it in 1752, however, Wiki's Prix de Rome page, in the painting category listing, says he won it in 1758. Which one is correct?
1752 is correct. I will make the correction to this article. Askari Mark | Talk 03:38, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
Ravel
[edit]"Ravel tried a total of five times to win the prize, and the last failed attempt in 1905 was so controversial that it led to a complete reorganization of the administration at the Paris Conservatory". So, why Ravel's name is figured on the laureates list of 1901?? Gerea-en 00:18, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- 30-April-2007: Sources say "André Caplet" won 1901 Prix de Rome in music, so I will put "(against Maurice Ravel, 3rd prize)" to adjust; Ravel won 3rd prize, but that was not stated on the short list. Thanks for the note. -Wikid77 06:48, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
Gérard Grisey
[edit]In 1972 Gérard Grisey seems to have won the Prix de Rome, yet this price was abolished in 1968. Can Grisey still have won this prize? Brbbl (talk) 09:34, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
Curious about the number of listed winners
[edit]Does anyone know if there's a reason why architecture lists Deuxième/Troisieme awards while painting only lists the first prize winner? (Other than the massive effort involved in compiling all of that extra information, of course). VernoWhitney (talk) 14:02, 2 June 2015 (UTC)
Annual subject
[edit]The French page lists the subject for the students (for instance, 1788 subject was "the Death of Tatius"), the same should be done with the lists for the English page. Along side each winner. Informata ob Iniquitatum (talk) 09:00, 28 November 2016 (UTC)
