Similarity with Plate heat exchanger

The scope of this article seems to be quite similar to that of plate heat exchanger. It seems to me that the plate fin exchanger would be better suited as a subcategory of plate heat exchanger. What do other users, who may have more experience thatI, in the area of hx design, think? I am only occasionally involved in work involving plate and frame, and shell and tube heat exchangers.
