Is it Piet? Or, is it Pieter?
[edit]The article gives many conflicting spellings of the subject's name. The introductory lead sentence and the infobox say Pieter, but the main body text says Piet. Not only that, the ordering is different, with Piet/Pieter being given as a middle name in some places and as a first name in others. This should be fixed and unified so that it is uniform across the article. – Illegitimate Barrister (talk • contribs),
Peter
[edit]Does anyone know why government sources such as the Department of State and the US Embassy in the Netherlands refer to him as "Peter"? That's not his birthname (Cornelis Pieter) and not his commonly used name (Pete). It seems justified that Peter Hoekstra redirects here based on that, but it's confusing as the article doens't use Peter anywhere. Lennart97 (talk) 12:21, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
