Format
[edit]The information on his theories of modern terrorism seem to oddly con-fused with the bibliographic data. Perhaps another section is in order? --maru (talk) contribs 00:54, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
- I agree. This is not appropriate encyclopedic format.--Gasparotto 21:00, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
wow
[edit]Is this a hagiography by a publisher, a vanity website, or a wikipedia WP:BLP? I mean, it begins with "A leading writer". W. T. F. Tagged because I cannot deal with now, but damn...--Cerejota (talk) 05:44, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
So are you saying if the adjective is removed, you are okay with the description? Or what? Berman is indeed a leading liberal intellectual writer in the Atlantic context. He has written on the generation of 1968 and its political legacies, and lately he has written on the intellectual genealogies of the Islamist movement and its terrorist offspring. In other words, he seeks to understand and explain, not simply to condemn; that alone, I would say, qualifies him as a leading writer in the contemporary context. Personal Background
[edit]As with any biographical subject, a brief description of Berman's personal background would be in order: where he was born and grew up, who his parents were and where he went to high school. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.243.148.28 (talk) 13:30, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
