- ... that in 2006 The New York Times described the Palácio das Cinzas, then the presidential palace of East Timor, as "a glorified bungalow really"? Source: https://www.nytimes.com/2006/07/14/world/asia/14letter.html

- Hi Bahnfrend, review follows: article created 2 January; article is well written and exceeds minimum length; I didn't pick up any overly close paraphrasing from a sample of the English-language sources (there is a little similarity with The Age article which might be worth reviewing; eg: "a parade of cutlass-bearing tribesmen and a flag-raising" but nothing too worrying); hook is interesting, mentioned in the article and checks out to the source cited; I added the year to the hook as a clarification, let me know if any issue with this; awaiting a QPQ. Interesting article on a little-covered region, thanks for creating this - Dumelow (talk) 08:50, 4 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Dumelow: Thanks for the review. I've now done the QPQ. I really liked the comments about the cutlasses and the goosestepping, etc. Highly evocative. When I ran the article through Earwig's Copyvio Detector, the assessment was "Violation Unlikely", so I left those comments as they were. As for the subject matter, East Timor is one of my regulars. Much of the time I translate de.wikipedia articles created by J. Patrick Fischer, who has created literally thousands of East Timor articles for de.wikipedia. But this time the de.wikipedia article was a little sparse, so I created the en.wikipedia article from scratch. Bahnfrend (talk) 07:48, 8 January 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks Bahnfrend, good to go - Dumelow (talk) 09:23, 8 January 2022 (UTC)
